Koinobori

This carp-shaped streamers are called Koinobori

In Japan,we have the custom of hanging out Koinobori from April through early May, in honor of Children's Day on May 5th.

By the way,why is it carp-shaped ?

The carp is believed to be fish capable of swimming up the fierce flowing waterfalls and overcoming all manner of obstacles.

It also symbolizes the strength, courage and patience to accomplish the major goals and the success in life.

Originally, Children's Day is Boy's Festival.

Families with boys fly Koinobori outside to pray for good health and growth of their boys.

These days,there are some foreign tourists who buy Koinobori as souvenir & you can see them hanging everywhere !!!!! i loveeee them too ^__^

2011 WORKSHOP
NATURE HEALING-SELF HEALING

This year 2011 makes us aware of the need for healing and connection.
Earthquakes, a nuclear disaster, it touches directly our inner being because we are
all connected. Through suffering, sometimes we forget that it is not just about aid
and reconstruction. If we truly learn to care for the Earth, the Earth will care for us. To live with nature and each other is needed.
In this intensive we give you tools for nature healing, self healing and group healing and also to live more self-sufficient. in a respectful manner we will be harvesting wild plants for cooking. There will be nature rituals, singing, dancing and sharing round the fire.
The “Lindense Laak” in Vorden will feed us with stream, woods and fields, magical places, special circles, very old trees and lots of quiet space.
Deepen your connection with nature and experience what nature has to tell you about personal life issuses.

This four-day workshop will be given by three teachers and a support team:
*Dave Hegglun lived for 30 years in the wilderness of New Zealand. Dave is a well known stone carver. He lives in the Maori as well as in the pakia culture.
Dave is known for his contact with nature spirits, his clear vision of nature
and his intuitive knowledge of medicine plants. The maintenance and support of
nature is his mission.
* Bas Visser is a lawyer for the trees, life coach and druid. As a lawyer he is resolving conflicts between people and trees. As a druid, he counsels people in all kinds of lifeprocesses with walks in nature. His motto is "live close to nature, close to your own nature".
* Ayako Goh is a Singaporean intuitive artist she paints for people to heal them from within. She learns from elves and fairies and her teachers from the dream world. She loves the nature spirits of various landscapes and likes to meet and support them.

The Japanese proverb that is included in the song is, "Nana korobi ya oki". It literally means, "Fall seven times, and get up eight." Life has its ups and downs; therefore it is an encouragement to keep going no matter how tough it is. "

a year ago, heidi and i made a promise while i was in taiwan . that is to exchange our artwork (portrait of each other) , this year while i am back in taipei, we managed to fulfill our promise and to have yummy steamboat dinner together with friends and also met up with her housemate from hk !

just this afternoon bingz and i decided to do an exchange of energies !

she will give me a healing while i draw her an intuitive drawing ..

the whole session with her was interesting as i see blankets of different colors energies covering over my body as the healing session proceed on .... and when i voiced out my shoulders aches, i can feel intense heat over the area for mins , why i feel heat ?

hmmm personally i prefer cold weathers so when theres slight bits of heat come over my body, i can immediately feel them .... that is why i can pick up the heat sensations easily .... it feels like heat packs in a way .... definitely a cool experience !!

so i thankyou bingz and the universe for creating this opportunity for us both !!!

mr.m asked me if i can do a healing artwork design for his new tattoo that hes doing to add into his collection and i said yes ,

its been an interesting process while i was commissioning this particular piece as the 1st drawing as a draft, then when i thought the 2nd drawing is a final, the guide surprised me last minutes this morning and now this is the 3th but final design for his upcoming new tattoo !

breakfast morning with poroporoaki , meaning saying our goodbyes till nexttime

over meals and its been so wonderful knowing them all .... in spain andalusia~

we took an airplane from munich to malaga spain
and it was another almost 5 hours drive to hemine´s centre up in the high mountains in
andalusia and the drive wasnt an easy one with rocky roads ..

but views of nature, the friendly rocks and mountains and beautiful scenaries
are worth all the struggles and air is refreshing even though the weather is hotter ...

the workshop over at hemine`s had a total of 19 of us ....
and they are spanish people, heart people and we really enjoyed this learning experience lots and
magickal healings were done on all of us too ...

in the morning when i woke up, i saw high up in the skies ,
the vultures circling in spiral and its my first time seeing time this beautiful
big and majestic and so free up there, looking for preys and theres a total
of 40 of them at one time flying together ..... so cool hahahahha

we were at the mountains for almost more than 9days i think
but we were timeless there ...time seems to mean nothing to us all

sun were up high even at 7plus pm and we dont eat till 11pm at night for dinner...
as that is very usual for spainish people to have a meal this late ...

after workshop we drove to granada and terromelinos for one night stay
and its a tourism beach area with lots of tapas bars, resturants and shops
but heat was way too high at 46 degee and mummy wai is finding it hard
to walk on the streets with so hot weather so we didnt actually do much

nevertheless, both lidas and me managed to go roaming round a bit before
dinner time for shoppings and its quite enjoyable hehehe

thankyou so much for this wonderful spain experience.
its been enchanting learnings in the mountains .

travelling on train in europe

i would say its difficult for tourists to travel on trains in europe as theres no english at all and for example, for me to get to amsterdam from hamburg , i have to switch stations for 3-4times within the 6hours and theres also no lift or escalators to go up and down the platforms so if the bags and lugguages are heavy, then one have to bring it on hands down the stairs and up the stairs again ... for me, thats the tough part ... :P

else everything is okie and smooth and its interesting and nice to see the scenaries on the window while travelling on these fast trains ....

tomorrow i'm waking up at 530am amsterdam time to catch a train to hamburg and again i have to switch stations and platforms ......
