"Inner You" 20 inch by 20 inch was sold during mee suah exhibition !!

takes us on a journey of facing our inner self,the good and the bads,the past and the present and from this journey, we merge out to become more balance in our ways of life, to be more positive in our outlooks, to have the courage to change into someone better and to look forward to a wholesome living. The colorful yarns in this painting that surrounds the side of it represents the cycle of life, the ever-changing journeys,the colorful characters of our inner-self.

it was an enjoyable and fun and cool experiences for all of us the four designer artists in this exhibition ! we gain more understandings of our friendships, our works, our experiences ...

for me i sold 1 painting and few "circle of friendships" , "necklace or band" , basket of knowledges..... sold one of the sheepskin medicine bag and cindy ordered a comission one too !

but kinda sad that no one noticed the crystal poms........nor the "pirates"

but all in all ..... i am grateful for this opportunity ...

working along with friends and people who made this possible and successful for each and everyone of us !!!! I THANK YOU !!!!!!

I knew Elisabeth from last year's hikoi but i didnt really know her nor get the chance to talk much to her but this year round for hikoi 2007 shes one of the kitchen assistant like me ......

that's how we get to know each other better thru working along side by side in the kitchen everyday for the length of 23days journey !

this comissioned painting is for her to bring back to Hamberg as shes starting on a new journey in her life ...... may she finds strength and joys in things that she do !!

Belly laughs

As children, we laugh hundreds of times each day, delighted by the newness of living. When we reach adulthood, however, we tend to not allow ourselves to let go in a good belly laugh.

Inviting laughter back into our lives is simply a matter of making the conscious decision to laugh. Though most of us are incited to laugh only when exposed to humor or the unexpected, each of us is capable of laughing at will.

A laugh that comes from the belly carries with it the same positive effects whether prompted by a funny joke or consciously willed into existence. When our laughter comes from the core of our being, it permeates every cell in our physical selves, beginning in the center and radiating outward, until we are not merely belly laughing but rather body laughing.

Laughter has been a part of the human mode of expression since before evolution granted us the art of speech. Through it, we connected with allies while demonstrating our connection with people we didn't know.

In the present, laughter allows us to enjoy positive shared experiences with strangers and loved ones alike. Yet solitary laughter carries with it its own slew of benefits. An energetic and enthusiastic bout of whole-body laughter exercises the muscles, the lungs, and the mind in equal measure, leaving us feeling relaxed and content.

When we laugh heartily at life's ridiculousness instead of responding irritably, our focus shifts. Anger, stress, guilt, and sadness no longer wield any influence over us, and we are empowered to make light of what we originally feared.

Laughter also opens our hearts, letting love and light in, changing our perspective, and enabling us to fix our attention on what is positive in our lives.It is easy to laugh when we feel good, but it is when the world appears dim that we most need laughter in our lives.

Our laughter then resonates through our hearts, filling the empty spaces with pure, unadulterated joy. We regain our footing in the moment and remember that no sorrow is powerful enough to rob us of our inborn happiness.

When we understand that uninhibited laughter is the food of the soul, nourishing us from within, we know instinctively that life is worthwhile.

e weekend at MAAD

first weekend at MAAD was quiet....interesting......freezing cold due to the aircon!!!! on sat i sold a stone bag and someone adopted N2 (tree elves/faeries series) and i drew an intuitive drawing for sharon too !

on sun i sold 2 stone bags bought by a loving mother and daughter ! and had 5 intuitive drawing done on the spot for people ! tht included edward too !! and by the end of the day....few of us went for a simple fare at maxwell market for dinner and had chats for a while too ! it was nice to gather with friends after a long day...... most of the time while we were at maad and when theres no crowd....we chatted and joked and we munched lots !!! hahahah..... ^__^

i'll miss u guys when i am over in NZ ! see u all again in MAAD MAy !

"To paint with ya heart" Workshop.

This is a unique and interesting workshop whereby one will learn to put away their logical mind and to paint their first canvas by listening to their heart’s soul . . .

It will be a two hour journey where each participant discovers his/her joys and getting back in tune with their inner child / inner soul where they venture on a rediscovery self journey as they start their painting.

All materials will be provided and each will bring back a canvas painting with their own creations on it.

There will also be a time to share with others on why and how did they come to create their own special painting.

Investment: $100.
