what is a medicine bag ?

A Medicine Bag is a traditional North American Indian container for various items of supernatural power. While anyone may have one, usually it would be the medicine man, or shaman, of a tribe who would carry one. As something that holds supernatural items, the medicine bag must also have some power of its own.

The medicine bag is known in all cultures and through out all of history. They contain objects such as leaves, feathers, stones, herbs such as sweetgrass, sage, cedar, lavender or pinion, and other objects which have been added by the wearer and considered spiritually significant.

The reasons to carry a medicine are for guidance, healing and protection. Most medicine bags contain a quartz crystal as one of its objects. Quartz energy resonates with all the energies of the physical body and is considered a remarkable healing stone. It connects you to your spiritual self.

Other items you might like in your own medicine bag are items you may have found a special attraction to or resonance with in your life. For example, a special shell you found at the seashore or a feather you found or a piece of pine tree or a juniper berry that holds meaning for you.

We often meet up with items that seem to be just waiting for us to pick them up and carry them home and then we don’t know what to do with them. This is one place to give them a home close to your heart. The essence of these special items create an energy in your medicine bag and that energy is the force that represents you.

so when u are wearing/carrying a medicine bag close to your heart you are connecting with your spiritual self, the authentic you and always remembering who you are. ^__^

AS you go through life you may find other things you want to add to this medicine bag.

creating new faeries elves door !

today late afternoon, i started on creating new faeries/elves door !

now whts faeries/elves door ? they are actually wooden door created to allow one to hang them anywhere in their room/home to allow a doorway for the wee folks to come and visit ....

hehehe i'll be selling them at coming aug maad ! so do watch out for it ^__^ each one of them will be unique and one of its kind only ~

there will also be medicine bags for sale too at maad .. handmade by me with yarns in different colors . meant to hold your little treasures in the bag or to hold your crystals .

just completed another comissioned piece of painting . this time round its 20by20inch .

for adrian's mum ..she comissioned this for the business . to bring in new opportunities and new ventures for the businesses and to create wealth and bliss into the company as well .

working on a painting 12by12inch

this morning i started working on a 12 by 12 inch canvas painting of a totem animal .

interestingly, i started out painting the eyes first ..... and its very sweet cool whimsical pair of eyes .... strong in flowery colours and looking through you .... kinda reminds me of that sweet innocent in a child's eyes.

followed through till i put on my brush ... then as i took a step back and looked at the completed painting, i saw a very magickal whimsical owl ..... one tht lives in the childhood innocent playgrounds of all mankind .

time now is 2.26pm . this commissioned painting is completed now . air drying the layers of paints for few days before i vanish it ^__^

Title of this totem animal : " whimsical me " ( an owl ) one that teaches us to follow through our

dreams and not forgetting our innocent childlike eyes to look at

the world with kindness and loving intentions as we pursue

our goals in life .

An owl totem gives you the power to extract secrets.

this is the intuitive drawing drawn for Freda today down at cosmic phoenix .

Her first time having her personal intuitive drawing done on the spot .

After that, Adrian's mum also asked me to comissioned a painting for her business . To bring in more new clients and more new businesses ventures/lucks/good fortune .

So i'll start to work on that soon ^__^

maad 2nd anniversary was a happy weekends for me as theres more people coming in for my intuitive drawings and paintings were sold over the sat/sun as well .
